What is the procedure for making my music available for sale on BurnLounge?

1) Download the BurnLounge License Request Form, by clicking here

2) Send the request form with a CD of your music to the BurnLounge A&R department at: BurnLounge, 304 Hudson Street, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10013, Attn: License Request. (Labels with large numbers of titles do not need to submit copies of their music with the License Request Form).

3) In a few weeks, a license agreement will be sent to you via e-mail.

4) Sign the license agreement and send it to the address listed in the agreement.

What kind of proof of ownership do you require for content submitted to BurnLounge?

BurnLounge works very hard to make sure that our service legally licenses everything we distribute. Proof of ownership is the responsibility of the artist or label submitting the content. If ownership cannot be substantiated, BurnLounge reserves the right to refuse a license. In cases where the ownership of licensed material is in dispute, BurnLounge may remove that material from the catalog.

Do artists have to be signed with a record company to submit music for sale?
No, artists do not need to be signed with a record label to submit music to BurnLounge.

Do I have to be a BurnLounge retailer to license music to BurnLounge?

Anyone can license music to BurnLounge using the procedure set forth by our service. You do not need to be a retailer to do so.

How do you want material submitted?

Content should be submitted to BurnLounge on a standard CD containing AIFF files. Please remember to include all artwork (either the inserts from a standard CD jewel case, or the files thereof).

How long does it take for content to be entered into your catalog?

Once BurnLounge receives the signed license agreement and the content is physically in-house, it usually takes no longer than two weeks for the material to become available to our retailers.

What is the artist/label royalty rate for music sold on your site?

Because there are many different types of artists and labels, royalty rates are determined on a case-by-case basis. Your royalty rate will be provided in your license agreement. More specific questions can be addressed directly to the A&R department at aandr@burnlounge.com.

Are only full-length albums accepted, or can EPs and singles also be submitted?

Albums, EPs and single tracks can all be licensed for distribution through our service.
